Influences and Interests

I'm a sucker for a song with great lyrics. Some of my favorite lyricists include Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Jason Lancaster, Tyler Hilton, and Taylor Swift. Growing up I always loved pop music and its ability to keep a listener entertained while painting great concepts and stories through song. In middle school, I discovered the alternative genre and I began coloring my musical palette with inspiration from The Doors, The Killers, Mumford and Sons, Metallica, A Day To Remember, and many more. . I strive to tell stories through my songs that are relatable to wide demographics. I began writing songs at the very young age of eight years old. I created vocal melodies and lyrics and wrote them down on colored construction paper. When I was sixteen, I finally learned to play guitar and that is when I began completing songs and creating a portfolio. I decided to pursue a career in music because I always appreciated the way I could connect to other artists' experiences through their songs. I never felt alone when I had music. I strive to write songs to help thousands of people feel like there is someone in the world who cares about them and understands them. I am very passionate about highlighting life's imperfections and finding the silver lining. I like to explore all corners of life, even the dark and scary parts. I would love for my listeners to be able to come with me on that journey.
